Erin L. Dominguez
Erin is a partner at Simborg • Killingsworth and a Certified Specialist in Family Law as certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization. She concentrates her practice exclusively on family law matters. She represents spouses and domestic partners in family law proceedings involving complex property division, child and spousal support, and custody and visitation. Erin also has extensive experience in parentage actions, domestic violence restraining order proceedings, and pre- and post- marital agreements. Erin litigates matters in Marin County, San Francisco County and Los Angeles County. Prior to joining Simborg • Killingsworth in February 2012, Erin was an associate in the family law department of Sideman & Bancroft LLP in San Francisco. Erin began her legal career at Cooley LLP working on commercial litigation matters and antitrust investigations, as well as serving as the primary pro bono attorney on a prisoner’s civil rights case in federal court.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Erin received her B.A. in 2003 from the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded the Ferguson Prize for the best senior thesis in History. In 2007, Erin received her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) where she concentrated her course work on family law, co-founded the Family Law Society, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal.
Erin has served on the Board of Directors of the National Center for Lesbian Rights, a national non-profit committed to advancing the rights of LGBT individuals and their families through impact litigation, education and public policy advocacy. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Marin County Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
