Erin L. Dominguez
Erin is a partner at Simborg • Killingsworth. She concentrates her practice exclusively on family law. She represents spouses and domestic partners in family law proceedings involving complex property division, child and spousal support, and custody and visitation. Erin also has extensive experience in parentage actions, domestic violence restraining order proceedings, and pre- and post- marital agreements. Prior to joining Simborg • Killingsworth in February 2012, Erin was an associate in the family law department of Sideman & Bancroft LLP in San Francisco where she represented individuals in high-asset dissolutions in San Francisco, Marin, Alameda, San Mateo and Contra Costa County. Erin began her legal career at Cooley LLP representing technology companies in commercial litigation and antitrust investigations, as well as serving as the primary pro bono attorney on a prisoner’s civil rights case in federal court.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Erin received her B.A. in 2003 from the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded the Ferguson Prize for the best senior thesis in History. In 2007, Erin received her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) where she concentrated her course work on family law, co-founded the Family Law Society, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal. During law school, Erin also externed for the Honorable Donald Sullivan of the Unified Family Court of San Francisco and clerked for the National Center for Lesbian Rights, a national non-profit committed to advancing the rights of LGBT individuals and their families through impact litigation, education and public policy advocacy.
Erin currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Center for Lesbian Rights. She is a member of the Family Law Institute and the Family Law Section of the Marin County Bar Association.
